UK Cloud Host iomart Lists Winning Youth Football Teams in Community Campaign

iomart Hosting has announced the names of the initial 10 youth football teams that have won a sponsored iomart hosting kit for next season.

UK cloud hosting company iomart Hosting announced on Friday the names of the initial 10 youth football teams that have won a sponsored iomart hosting kit for next season.

Launched in March, the new marketing campaign called Host Your Kit uses sports to promote web hosting to the wider public, says iomart.

Despite this, the campaign appears to be more of a community outreach initiative on iomart part than a straightforward marketing tool, as it brings into question the effectiveness of such a campaign in promoting web hosting services to the general public.

Launched by Scottish international footballers Charlie Mulgrew and Emma Fernon, the campaign was open to all boys' and girls' football teams who play in a recognized youth league in the Under 11 to Under 16 age categories in England, Scotland or Wales.

we launched the campaign on Twitter, Facebook and online, we have been inundated with hundreds of email and video entries from football teams across England, Scotland and Wales, said Phil Worms, marketing director of iomart Hosting. events like Euro 2012 and the London Olympics this year we felt it was a great time to get involved with sport. total of 30 youth football teams in England, Scotland and Wales will benefit from the Host Your Kit campaign for which iomart Hosting has partnered with sports retailer Greaves Sports.

The winners all receive an iomart Hosting sponsored adidas football kit. The first Host Your Kit winning teams are Ancrum Juniors FC U14s from Jedburgh in the Borders, Berner FC U12s, Tower Hamlets, London, Charlestown United U14s, St Austell, Cornwall, Jeanfield Swift Girls FC U11s, Perth, Scotland, Lumley Gateway FC U16s, County Durham, Mile Oak Wanderers U13s, East Sussex, Netherne Falcons FC U13s, Surrey, Port Glasgow Juniors BC U13s girls, Glasgow, Rainham Eagles U13s, Essex, and Scotton Scorchers U15s from North Yorkshire.
